Alphabet Activity Sheets worksheets

Letter recognition is more than just learning the alphabet song. To read, a child needs to recognize each letter quickly in any font, in either case, and out of order. They need to associate each letter with its most common sound. They need to be able to find the letter in a word, sort letters by feature, and match the capital to the lowercase form. Our alphabet activity sheets target every one of those sub-skills.

Use these as morning work, literacy center rotations, sub-day folders, or take-home practice. Each page is designed to be completed in five to ten minutes — long enough to feel like real work, short enough to fit in a Pre-K attention span.
